I graduated with a Law degree from the University of Exeter in 2020 and I’m currently working as a paralegal on cases of copyright/digital image rights infringement. I’m on track to commence an LLM in Media & Entertainment Law in California in 2022, where I hope to qualify and practise in this field.
My free time revolves around live music, Pride festivals and travel, although Ms Rona has forced me to dedicate my life to re-watching The L Word. (Yes, again).
LIV REILLY (SHE/HER)
CO-CHAIR AND CO-FOUNDER
I am an aspiring criminal and human rights barrister. When I’m not trying to learn the raps to a Nicki Minaj song, quoting Gemma Collins or listening to the charts, I will probably be talking about hopes of travelling the world. Also I humbly believe How to Get Away with Murder is better than Suits.
OWEN HUSSEY (HE/HIM)
CO-CHAIR AND CO-FOUNDER

I’m an international student from Kenya studying law at the university of Birmingham, and also a part time freelance artist and writer. I run an art company called OBSIDIAN Circus, which aims to portray messages of social justice advocacy through fine art pieces and poetry/other creative writing pieces. As a queer rights activist coming from the East Africa region, channeling my energy towards QLT, BQLT and the movement is one of the causes I am post passionate about, and one that keeps my blood pumping.
T MUNYUA (THEY/THEM)
DEPUTY CHAIR AND CHAIR OF BQLT

I’m an international student from Canada studying a two-year LLB at the University of Law in London. I’m also a University of British Columbia Commerce graduate and hope to work in commercial law when I finish my LLB. In my spare time I listen to podcasts, binge-watch Drag Race, and knit
KAYLA LITTLE (SHE/HER)
EVENTS OFFICER

I’m a King’s College London graduate, currently completing the GDL in Manchester. I’m aspiring for a career at the Family or Crime Bar! When I’m not studying or working for QLT you’ll find me either playing football or hosting some open mic nights.
CHRISTIE O'CONNELL (SHE/HER)
DIRECTOR OF BAR OUTREACH

I'm in the second year of LLB studying at Sussex. Be it drag, marching for Pride or now helping with this, I love getting involved with our community! My current ambition is to enter into academia but I could also see myself working as a litigator in a regional firm.
MARCO ABOUSLEIMAN (HE/HIM)
DIRECTOR OF CAREERS

I'm a third year Law and Spanish student at the University of Edinburgh. I spend most of my days procrastinating, baking for my flatmates, happy crying to Ben Platt music and then eating all the baking that I made for my flatmates (in that order). Can be bribed with cookies and peanut butter.
MHAIRI SINCLAIR (SHE/HER)
ALLY NETWORK OFFICER

My name is Liam, I'm a fourth-year law student from Queen Mary after going abroad in Hong Kong and Singapore. I'm originally from Paris and I also really enjoy doing photography. I recently joined QLT as the trans representative so don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
LIAM LANGLOIS (HE/HIM)
TRANS REPRESENSTATIVE

I’m a Trainee Solicitor with BPE in Cheltenham. I have a particular interest in litigation and advocacy, which is a bit like a drag race - you put on a wig, throw some shade at the other side, and try to win over a judge. I was previously a BAME Advocate at the University of Law and I’m now looking to see how I can contribute to addressing the issues faced across intersects.
SANTOS HAU (HE/HIM)
EVENTS OFFICER

In 2019 I graduated with a degree in Politics and International Relations and now I work for the NHS. In what little free time I do possess I love reading, singing (very) loudly when driving and working on my small business, Mangrove Green. I also aim to move back to London as soon as Covid-19 gets off my back.
CHARLOTTE O'BRIEN (SHE/HER)
COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Fourth year law student at the University of Nottingham from South Africa and Greece. When I'm not obsessing over dogs or envisioning my life as a romcom, you'll find me hiking (a nicer way to say hopelessly lost) up in the Greek mountains or endlessly banging away on a piano.
DIMOSTHENIS KALDIS (HE/HIM)
DIRECTOR OF MENTORING

I’m a third year Law LLB student at the University of Sussex, hoping to go into human rights or entertainment law. I’m passionate about supporting LGBTQA+ causes in and outside of the legal community. When I’m not studying you’ll probably find me watching Modern Family or re-watching Legally Blonde on Netflix.
CHRISTIAN BOWSER (HE/HIM)
INTERVIEWS OFFICER

I’m a King’s College London history graduate and currently studying LLM Law and Legal Practice (also known as PGDL) at BPP Waterloo. In my spare time, I have been trying to figure out film photography (a work in progress) and always look for new podcasts to listen to.
MONIKA SAKYTE (SHE/HER)
ALLY NETWORK OFFICER

I'm a third-year International History and Politics student at the University of Leeds, hoping to one day work in family or human rights law. Outside of my degree, I have a love for baking (my chocolate chip cookies have yet to be beaten), football and home renovation TV shows.
JEMIMA SWINDELLS (SHE/HER)
CO-DIRECTOR OF EVENTS

I'm a law graduate, currently in a civil rights master's degree in France. I intend to become a lawyer in minorities rights at some point in my life, hopefully. A big part of my identity has been determined by my over consumption of Buffy the vampire slayer and other witch-vampire-gays TV shows.
JEANNE HADI (THEY/THEM)
SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR

I am just your run of the mill small town, genderqueer, drag queen junior lawyer. Obtained my LLB from Aston University then LPC/LLM from University of Law. I now work in-house for the litigation team of a leading national housing provider, awaiting my training contract in 2021. Away from work I am most likely reading a book, napping or finding time for my true loves - bad pizza and good tequila.
ROBBIE SHIELS (HE/THEY/SHE)
DIRECTOR OF ALTERNATIVE CAREERS

Hello, my name is Matthew, but you can call me ‘Matt’. I’m a third-year journalism student, and host of the podcast ‘It Belongs to the People’. I love to cook vegan treaties, read books about social and political matters and fashion journalism. I’m a dark academia and nature lover as well so getting lost in the woods during the weekends is a must for me. I’m utterly excited to be part of the QLT team and will do my best to represent the bisexual community within our company. Don’t hesitate to contact me, no matter the subject, we can always have a chat
